Man, I straight up got nothing today. The title of the comic indicates I like Gang of Four. This is particularly true. I picked up their Greatest Hits compilation entitled A Brief History of the 20th Century, featuring the original recordings of a bunch of amazing and groundbreaking songs. Political, angry, fun.

I am a big fan of the compilation Return the Gift, which is re-recordings by the band when they reformed sometimes in the 2000s. Surprisingly, some of these are more raw and insane, just better recorded, than their earlier recordings. When someone like U2 plays Out of Control now, it is just sad and contrived. But somehow they injected more energy into these re-recordings than some of the original recordings. And they are old and sober, did I mention that?
